The Project
At the Cromwell Road site, bp pulse aimed to transform the location into a state-of-the-art EV hub. The project included installing a new canopy for a 10-bay charge point area, erection and branding a new mid-sign, and external rebranding for the convenience store (M&S). TSG, as the trusted signage provider, played a crucial role in this transformation.
The site was completely closed during the project, allowing for a comprehensive overhaul. All underground fuel tanks and existing dispensing equipment were removed to prepare the site for the installation of new charge points. TSG held two ‘design room’ meetings at their Barnsley and Loughborough sites, where a design wall helped bp visualise the new signage.
TSG’s adaptability was showcased as they raised the canopy height by 50 mm to ensure adequate clearance over the chargers. The team designed and manufactured covers to conceal the additional height, maintaining a sleek and professional appearance. The lights fitted were all LED and integral to the canopy, operating at a low voltage of 24V.
The project was completed on time, with bp expressing satisfaction with the results and TSG’s execution.
The Results
The project was completed successfully and bp pulse was extremely pleased with TSG’s working practices, delivery timescale and final results. The flexibility and adaptability of the TSG team were crucial in overcoming the challenges and changes throughout the projects.
